The wedding gallery page has a collection of my favourite photos from recent weddings which I feel best conveys my style. It's also important though that you see how I approach a full wedding day. The videos below are all from recent weddings here in the north east and will give you a good idea of how I'll document your whole day. These slideshow videos are always included in all of my wedding collections and usually I manage to publish them on the actual wedding day!
I absolutely love photographing weddings at The Grand Hotel in Tynemouth so I was delighted when Laura and Daniel asked me to capture their day there. A beautiful Friday in May gave us some amazing light to play with for the portraits, which we did around the hotel and down by the old outdoor pool on the beach. Some of my favourite photos from this particular wedding are of Laura's mam and dad tearing up the dance floor before the first dance!
One of my favourites from 2015! Nicola and Fouad were married at Fouad's mum's cottage in Wynyard. A small and intimate ceremony followed by an amazing party in his mum's very impressive garden! Right after the ceremony we headed out into the woods for some portraits before getting back to the (very well catered!) party at the house.
Lindsey and Brendan were married in July at the beautiful Ramside Hall hotel in Country Durham. It's an amazing venue with some fantastic areas around it for wedding photos. We started with Brendan and the groomsmen, photographing them getting ready before heading over to Lindsey's suite to photograph the bridal preparations. Then it was on to the Ballroom to shoot the ceremony. One of the things I always try to do is work through the formal group shots as quickly as possible so my couples can get back to enjoying their day with family and friends. Lindsey and Brendan's wedding may have been a personal best for me... I think it took less than 10 minutes!
Hayley and Gavin were married at St. Mary's Church in Whitley Bay and then we all headed into Newcastle to the Vermont for the reception. One of the things I love about the Vermont is its location right in the heart of Newcastle. There are some very cool places in and around the hotel to get some pictures and there's even the option to get up on the roof for some photos with the bridges in the background.
Michelle and Tim were married at one of my favourite venues in the north east, Newton Hall. It's a quirky and unique venue like no other, it has a fantastic team running things up there and there are loads of cool places for photos. You can even get down to the beach in a few minutes if the weather's good, which it was for Michelle and Tim.
Abi and Gav were married in February at St Mary and St Cuthbert's Parish Church in Chester-le-Street and then on to the Radisson Blu in Durham for the reception. We didn't get the best weather in the world but it didn't matter; it was still a brilliant day. After the ceremony we jumped in a car and headed up to Durham Castle for a few photos and then on to the reception. The Radisson is in a great location and stepping out onto the boardwalk gives great views of the cathedral up on the hill.
